PTP Items Have Arrived

Please disregard the note below. Items will be distributed on Monday, May 2nd and Wednesday, May 4th. If you cannot make it at one of those times just give me a call or e-mailme and we can make arrangements to get it to you. The times for this will be 7:00 - 9:00 P.M.

The lanyards, luggage tags, polos, etc. that we have been waiting for have arrived. Mrs. Leonard has volunteered to sit at Coral Ridge Mall in the food court so you can come get these items. She will position herself near Panara Bread. We will have some sort of sign in case you may not recognizer her.

She will be there between 2:00 - 4:00 on Sunday, May 1st. We will be starting the phone tree to announce both of these. It will also let us know if there is any tweaking that needs to be done to the phone tree.

Tracy and I will be at a PTP Leaders meeting in Davenport on Saturday but wanted to get the items above to you so you could try on the polo to make sure it fits. There is a sheet on how you can exchange the polo if you would happen to need a different size.

I realize that this may not work for everyone. Please call me at 270-3816 or Tracy at 270-8314 e-mail me at rhalstead16@mchsi so we can make other arrangements if no one can make it to the mall during the time listed above.



BonVoyage Gather Set

The BonVoyage date has been locked in. The date is Sunday, June 5th. The time frame is 6:00 - 9:00, Confirmed Time. We will get together at the same place we met for our Orientation meetings in Solon but just in a different building. The building is across the street, it is called the Family Life Center. We have the gym and the kitchen. Please stay tuned for more information.

Mrs. Litow along with a few other are attempting to decide whether to go with a catering group of have a pot luck of some type. Stay tuned.

Itinerary Information

Brian Goodell alerted me to an issue that some may be having while attempting to get to the itinerary on the OnBoard site. If you are looking for this information you should go to TRAVEL INFORMATION and then click on the ICON next the Schedule of Activities.

I also put it on the Google Docs as well. Just in case.

I will also post the new PowerPt in case anyone wants to go back to it.

Orientation Meeting #4 Tasks and Assignments

Hope this finds everyone ready to go for tomorrow. We are excited on this end. Should be lots of fun; speaker, presentations and last minute items and material to cover.

I know you all have received your Tasks & Assignments sheet but below are some items to make sure you bring with you along with other things we will need tomorrow. See you soon. Rh

  • Original Passport
  • Emergency Sheet
  • 2 Copies of passport
  • 2 Original passport photos
  • Civics sheet
  • T-shirt money, estimated $10.0
  • T-shirt design, if you are submitting one for the contest
  • Conversion money, if you want Pauline Herb to handle if for you.
  • Rules of the Road, signed-available at the google sites
  • Certification Quizzes and on-line modules completed
  • Journal - bring your journal - we will be just checking to see if Journal article #1 & 2 are in your journal. As we said before we will read them once we begin our journey.
  • Project Fair presentation (If you need a Mac please let me know, or I will not be bringing that computer)
Hopefully we will be able to get all we have to do done in our three hours, if not we may go a little longer. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Cedar Rapids Air Itinerary Available

In case anyone has not noticed the Air itinerary has been posted on the PTP website. Take a look and back it up a couple of hours and that is when we will need to be at the Eastern Iowa Airport for departure. We will be meeting up with the Waterloo group in Chicago. I would assume the same will be true for the Southeast group. Hopefully everyone has started to get excited. There are still quite a few things to take care of before we travel but it is starting to come together. I will be posting tonight the assignments and items that will be important t bring to our last regular meeting on Sunday, April 10th. Don't forget we also have a speaker up front. See you all soon.
